Art Competition
The Q-Con art competition returns for another year, offering attendees an opportunity to show off their artistic skills and perhaps win some prizes as well.
Can I print a picture of mine or do I have to draw it here?
The competition will be based on artwork that you have drawn prior to the convention. There is nothing wrong with entering a piece you have drawn at the convention, but the option is open to show off your best and latest.
What’s allowed?
Generally any picture is allowed but due to the audience of the convention, pictures of an adult nature, pictures showing nudity or any non-tasteful images will not be allowed. Common sense is advised as you are showing off your work. Size limits are A3 maximum and it would be advised to use a print or a copy of your work in case of loss or damage due to the audience.
Artwork cannot be returned afterwards - so please use a copy or print.
Is there a theme?
The competition does not have a theme, although entries will be divided into the four categories listed below for judging. Anything will be accepted within the rules set out above.
How do I register or sign up for this?
Registration for Q-Con’s Art Competition will be carried out during the convention. You can leave artwork with the Board Game registration desk in the Space (first floor games hall) over the weekend prior to Sunday. Registration will close at 1pm on Sunday.
Winner for each category will be announced during the closing ceremony and prizes will be given for the pieces.
Please read the Art Competition Rules available at the Board Game in the Space registration desk before entering.
