Below is the list of competition and participation war games being run at Q-Con XV. Please note that all listed games are subject to change.

Warhammer 40,000 Competition - 'Fields of Blood'

Organised by Games Workshop, Belfast

Saturday - both sessions

It's time to load your bolter and gather your chainsword, for war approaches!

Drive your foes before your might, leave nothing but fields of blood!

Games Workshop will host 'Fields of Blood', a Warhammer 40k tournament. Armies are to be fully painted codex armies of 1700pts and will play in 3 games over the day.

It is recommended that you pre-register for this event at the Games Workshop Belfast store, located in Castle Court. Space is limited and if you don't pre-register for it then your place cannot be guaranteed. A limited number of spaces may be available on the day.

Babylon 5 - A Call to Arms: Q-Con Ancients Trophy

Saturday - both sessions

The Babylon 5 ACTA tournament is 1 point Armageddon, meaning that each player can take ships from their chosen fleet up to the value of 1 Armageddon point. The game is based on the 2nd edition of the game, and is played over 3 rounds. The person with the highest number of victory points at the end of the 3 rounds is the victor.

AT-43 (Demo Tournament)

Saturday - both sessions

The tournament organiser can provide armies for up to 6 players. All armies will be 1000 points in accordance with the main AT-43 Rulebook and Army Books. Anyone bringing their own army must have its strength verified by myself before play.

Battles will be fought using the Main AT-43 Rules and additional material from the Army Books only - no additional rules relating to the various phases of the Operation Damocles campaign and printed in Cry Havoc will be used.

Players will be required to fight battles as follows:

THE WINNER WILL BE THE PLAYER WHO HAS ACCUMULATED THE MOST VICTORY POINTS OVER THE 4 ROUNDS.

DBM (De Bellis Multitudinis) Competition

Saturday and Sunday - both sessions

"DBM" is a set of rules for fighting battles with miniature figures representing the military forces of nations and tribes from early antiquity until the advent of gunpowder in the late 15th century A.D.

This is a 4 round competition using version 3.1 of the rules using any current published IWF clarifications and is for armies of 400pts, using Army Lists from DBM Books 1 to 4. The competition will use the +100 scoring system.

15± Games will last around three hours, with a random finish time minutes either side of the published finish time. When "Time" is called, the game will stop IMMEDIATELY the current phase is complete.

Each player must supply his or her own fully painted 15mm scale army and terrain. [Some extra terrain and figures can be provided by the Umpire]. Odd shaped or irregular terrain and unpainted figures will not be permitted.

DBA Participation Game - Veni Vedi Vici

Saturday and Sunday - both sessions in conjunction with the DBM Umpire

Can you do as well as Caesar and subdue the Barbarian Hordes, or will your Legions succumb to ferocious charge of the Gallic Warbands? Games should last a maximum of 15 minutes. This will be run throughout the DBM competition by the Umpire.

FoG (Fields of Glory) Competition

Sunday - both sessions

This is a 3 round competition of the rules and is for armies of 600pts, using published Army Lists.

Games will last around two hours. Each player must supply his or her own fully painted 15mm scale army and terrain. Odd shaped or irregular terrain and unpainted figures will not be permitted.
