Cosplayers are one of the most talented sub cultures of the gaming and anime community - so it’s time to celebrate you! All applicants that wish to take part must fill out an online entry form and attend a safety orientation at 12:30 before the contest begins.
In order to compete in the judging aspect of the contest cosplayers will be asked to detail their process to a panel of judges on Sunday morning ahead of the show. Don’t be nervous. This is a chance for you to show off the care and effort you put in!
Cosplayers that don’t wish to take part in the judging may also join in on the fun! Even if you bought your costume you can still join your friends on stage for the walk on performance to show off your character costume.
Every year it gets harder and harder to select a winner as the talent grows. So this year we’ve decided to shake things up with the introduction of judging categories:
Newcomer: For cosplayers who have just started making their costumes and are new to the field
Intermediate (1st and 2nd Place): Contestants for this category must have created at least 30% of their costumes
Artisan (1st and 2nd Place): Contestants for this category must have created at least 60% of their costumes
