The Q-Con Cosplay Masquerade is the highlight of the convention’s creative calendar—an afternoon dedicated to craftsmanship, performance, and the passion of cosplay. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or taking the stage for the first time, the Masquerade offers a welcoming and exciting platform to showcase your work.

What to Expect

Participants will present their costumes on stage in front of a live audience and a panel of experienced judges. Entries will be judged prior to the event itself in a slot emailed to them. Entries are expected to have a build book showing their progress in making their cosplay including relevant techniques and equipment used. Any help in making the cosplay must be disclosed in the build book.

Backstage support will be available to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all contestants.

Craftsmanship & Judging

Our judging panel will evaluate entries based on a combination of costume construction, attention to detail and creativity. Pre-judging sessions will be scheduled for closer inspection of craftsmanship.

The Masquerade is open to all convention guests, so come along and support your fellow fans. The hall has a limited capacity so make sure to arrive early to avoid disappointment!

Join us for the official cosplay group photograph following the Cosplay Masquerade on Sunday 21st June! This is your chance to capture the creativity, craftsmanship, and community spirit of the event in one unforgettable shot. All cosplayers are invited to take part—whether you competed in the masquerade or simply came dressed to impress. Please make your way to the Social Stairs once the event ends so we can gather everyone together efficiently.

This group photo is a highlight of the event and may be shared on official channels, so bring your best poses and stay in character!
