Q-Con has a dedicated zone for all manner of strategic tabletop wargames, providing a battlefield for players to let loose their inner tactician. Check out this welcoming space to immerse yourself in the thrill of commanding armies and conquering your foes!
Test your skills against fellow commanders in both friendly skirmishes and tournaments where you can compete for glory and prizes. Win or lose, a friendly handshake over the fields of battle makes it all worth it.
Or if you’re more of an artist than a field general, Q-Con is the perfect place to chat about techniques with your fellow painters.
Wargame Tournaments and Organised Play at Q-Con 2025
Q-Con is proud to host another year of tournaments for a variety of Warhammer, Warhammer adjacent and Wargaming games this year in the Peter Froggatt Centre.
Featuring classics such as Warhammer 40K, our Spearhead tournament for Age of Sigmar, WarCrow and returning Infinity events and of course the Middle Earth Battle Strategy Game.
This year we're organising a number of tournaments for you to enjoy across both days of the weekend, at Q-Con 2025, with a number of prizes to be won.
Warhammer 40k
On Saturday the 14th you can enter the grim darkness of the 41st millennium and battle for the fate of the galaxy in a 1000pt tournament, brought to you by the Q-CON Wargames volunteer team. Located in the Peter Froggart Centre 02/018.
This tournament will take place across four rounds across the first day of Q-CON 2025

Warhammer Age of sigmar
We play host to a Spearhead tournament; a fast paced format with pre-built, thematic forces. No list building, just great fun in the Mortal Realms! Take part with a wide variety of forces, adapt to changing circumstances, score battle tactics and face opponents of all stripes in 4 games across the day. Located in the Peter Froggart Centre 02/018.

Middle Earth Strategy battle game
We also have something for the exciting fans of the world of JRR Tolkien: this tournament for Middle Earth's premier wargame, the Strategy Battle Game by Games Workshop. Q-Con 25 will be hosting a 500 point tournament across Sunday ran in conjunction alongside our Age of Sigmar tournament. Located in the Peter Froggart Centre 02/018.

Infinity
Take part in this fast paced, tactical tournament using a 300pt force in Resilience Operations, where no two games are ever the same! Infinity is a unique sci-fi skirmish wargame with plenty of counter play options during your opponents turn and beautiful miniatures.

Warcrow
We are proud to host Ireland's first narrative event for Warcrow, a brand new fantasy skirmish game from Corvus Belli. Set in the world of Lindwurm, you'll be fighting over resources in the Poisoned Glen and facing horrors untold as you battle for dominance!
