Overwatch 2 Tournament
in partnership with QUB eSports!
Location: Students Union, 3rd floor, Sunset & Light Rooms.
Starting at 9am for players and at 10am for spectators on both Saturday and Sunday.
We expect up to 8 teams playing over the weekend, 5 players per team with one optional substitute. We will announce and host qualifiers on the QUB eSports discord server before the convention if we get oversubscribed.
We have 10 awesome gaming laptops (144hz 1440p), and basic headsets will provided and are mandatory to be worn during games... but we recommend players bring their own headset, mouse, mousepad, and keyboard to suit their playing style. Please do not bring a monitor with you... we don't have space for these.
Tournament entry is free to ticket holders.
The Prize pool is £800, with a 3 way split - £500 - £200 - £100.

Bans
Games will proceed as follows:
Team 1 pick map -> Team 2 Ban -> Team 1 Ban (Roster Lock after map)
Following maps will be decided by loser, loser will also get first ban
Additional Rules:
Admins reserve the right to ask players to change icons or use streamer mode.
Players are expected to maintain a level of respect for each other failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Players are expected to arrive on time for games - schedule will be provided closer to the event. For every 5 minutes you are late a map will be forfeited.
Players are expected to follow all Q-con rules and may be asked to leave the venue for breaching any of the T&C's.

Q - Can I sign up on the day?
A - No there was pre-registration online prior.
Q - Where is event registration?
A - Outside the play areas, in "The Lounge".
Q - Are there prizes?
A - Yes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams.
Q - Can I have a drink while I'm playing?
A - No, due to risk of damage to the computers but there will be breaks allotted for going for a drink.
Q - Can we use our own peripherals?
A - Yes, we will have time before the round for players with peripherals to get them set up (headset, mouse, keyboard, and mousemat - Not Monitor!)
Q - What format will be used?
A - Double Elimination.
Q - What time does the event start?
A - 10am and ends at 5pm and we request you be there 15 mins prior to your match.
Q - Will there be controllers available on the day?
A - Yes.
Q - Will I be needed to be available for both days?
A - Yes, to make sure that you can play in finals if you progress.
Q - Can I sign up on my own?
A - No, you must signup as part of a team.
Q - What is the Late Arrival Policy?
5 Mins Late -1 Map Ban.
10 Mins Late -1 Map Ban.
15 Mins Late - Disqualification.
