As the Magic gathers, which colour calls to you?
About Magic: The Gathering
Magic: The Gathering is a trading card game published by Wizards of the Coast in which players build decks around specific colours of mana.
Playing land cards to accumulate that mana colour to cast spells and summon powerful creatures to engage in battle and fight for glory.
We are excited to host a number of our own Magic: The Gathering events help reward the Q-Con community with two exciting events to help grow the scene.

Foundations Jumpstart Tournament Info
Across Sunday 21st June, we are running a Jumpstart tournament for Magic: The Gathering Foundations from 11:00 until 16:00.
This 12-person format sees players get given two half deck packs of specific builds, which are then shuffled up and combined to make their own.
This event to Q-Con will provide a beginner friendly event to competitive Magic: The Gathering and this pick up and play event has prizes for the top finisher - a MTG Secrets of Strixhaven Commander Deck (Prismari Artistry) available.
All players will be able to keep the decks they build upon event completion.
This event is a limited format event and so will only be using the cards that are opened from sealed product during the event, along with basic lands supplied by us.
There is no official ban list but no cards from outside of the event are permitted and attempted use will result in disqualification.
Good luck to all attendees and may the best player win. And as always entry to the tournament will require a ticket entry for Q-Con 2026!
